LIVE ENTERTAINMENT: Waiting for Faro

When not at the coal face, our creative team also write and produce live theatre and comedy. Waiting for Faro, is our latest live entertainment production, which is a parody of Samuel Beckett’s most famous work, where two unfortunate airline passengers wait at the air gate for a no-frills flight which never arrives. The project has sold out for all performances to date; in The Ireland Institute and in a subsequent three-week run in The Viking Theatre, Dublin. It is returning to a number of larger theatres across the country for later this year. Here's a short video of some show highlights and audience reactions and you can see more at waitingforfaro.com

BROADCAST: Guards

Purple is a specialist in broadcast production and we have produced over 100 hours of TV and radio content for; RTE, Virgin Media, Eir Sport, Premier Sports and Newstalk.
We also write and produce TV and radio commercials and corporate videos and have delivered over 1,000 TV and radio commercials and numerous corporate videos for some of Ireland's largest organizations.  One of our favourite productions, a character-based situation comedy called Guards, was a commission produced by Purple for RTE Entertainment. An unrelenting satire which taps into the uniquely rich vein of humour to be found in Irish policing, the cast includes; the late and truly great, Gerry McCann (Alone it Stands), Bosco Hogan (The Last Duel), Gary Cooke (Apres Match),  Dessie Gallagher (I Keano), Lorraine Pilkington (Monarch of the Glen) and Keith Duffy (Coronation Street/Boyzone), and you can watch a short clip from ‘Guards – After Hours Pints’ here.

TECHNOLOGY: Rugby IQ

We have a team of developers with strong capabilities in App & Games development, E-commerce, integrations with booking, shopping and currency FX platforms, GPS map functionality and live online auctions.
Rugby IQ is the first App in the world which challenges sports fans to predict TMO outcomes in real time via their mobile device while watching live matches, enabling brand partners to engage digitally with their target audience as they play in leagues against the TMO and each other for fun and for prizes. Watch the TV ad below from a recent test series and if you would like to make a commercial enquiry for an upcoming tournament, get in touch.

BRAND STRATEGIES & COMMUNICATIONS:  Doughnuts

We are a group of extremely creative thinkers who devise strategically driven communications solutions for the brands we work with across all media, and our work has appeared in 88 countries for brands, including; Failte Ireland, Alltech USA, Kerry Group, Royal Bank of Scotland and Diageo. When the Road Safety Authority were faced with the challenges of a difficult-to-engage target audience and a difficult-to-discuss message, we developed this strategic piece of brand-sponsored work for them, which presented the importance of having a socially responsible attitude towards road safety to younger people who were starting to drive. In a 12-week nationwide tour, senior cycle school pupils throughout Ireland attended a dramatic live performance and it was supported by a half-day workshop which reinforced the messages of recognising risk, making safer choices and taking responsibility for their actions. Here's a short video of a few highlights from the performance.

PUBLIC ART:  Elephant in the Room

We create and run Public Arts trails and initiatives to create awareness for worthy causes, deliver footfall and tourism and raise valuable funds for charities. Current and recent clients include the largest hospice in the UK; Children’s Hospice South West, The Kilkenny Civic Trust, Goal Global, the UK's largest national park; Dartmoor National Park, and The Cotswolds Conservation Board. We’re proud to be currently working with former All Black and TV Pundit; Brent Pope, on an incredibly worthwhile movement called; Elephant in the Room. The goal of this project is to actively promote an open culture to normalise and de-stigmatise conversations around mental health in workplaces. To find out more watch this short video, and if you would like to become part of the movement, visit; elephantintheroom.ie or get in touch with us.
